Your hiring journey

Welcome.

Looking for a new opportunity is exciting—but we know it can also feel a little overwhelming.

That's why we believe interviews shouldn't feel like a mystery.

This guide walks you through our hiring process, what you can expect at each stage, and how we'll get to know each other along the way.

Most importantly, we'll keep you informed. You'll always know where you stand, what comes next, and when to expect to hear from us. No ghosting. No endless waiting.

We're excited to meet you. Good luck—we're rooting for you.

Your journey with Fantomas

Every role is different, but this is what the process usually looks like. Depending on the position and its seniority, we may adapt the process by adding, removing, or rearranging stages. If that happens, your Talent Partner will always let you know what to expect.

  1. 01

    Meet your Talent Partner

    Around 30 minutes

This is our first conversation—and a chance for us to get to know each other.

    We'll talk about:

    • Your background and experience
    • What motivates you
    • What you're looking for in your next role
    • Your career goals
    • Practical details, such as your notice period and compensation expectations
    • Your English level

Most importantly, this is your opportunity to learn more about Fantomas, our team, our clients, and the position. Come with your questions—we genuinely enjoy curious people.

We encourage you to spend a few minutes exploring Fantomas before the call. It helps create a much better conversation.
  2. 02

    Meet the Hiring Manager

    Around 45–60 minutes

Next, you'll meet the person leading the team you'll potentially join. For many roles, one of our founders is also the Hiring Manager. This conversation focuses on the role itself and gives both of us the opportunity to explore whether it's the right fit.

    We'll talk about:

    • Your previous experience
    • Projects you've worked on
    • Challenges you've solved
    • How you approach your work
    • Expectations from both sides
    • What success looks like in this role

We're not trying to catch you off guard—we're looking to understand how you think, communicate, and solve problems. And, of course, there will be plenty of time for your questions.

  3. 03

    Practical task

    If relevant

Not every role includes a practical task. When it does, we'll always explain why and what we're looking to learn.

Depending on the position, this could be:

    • A take-home assignment
    • A live working session
    • A business case
    • A portfolio review
    • A collaborative exercise

We're not looking for perfection. We're interested in how you think, structure your work, communicate your ideas, and solve problems. If AI tools are encouraged or allowed, we'll let you know in advance.

  4. 04

    Meet your future teammates

    Around 45–60 minutes

By this stage, we already have a good understanding of your experience. Now it's time for you to meet the people you'll be working with every day. This conversation is about collaboration, communication, and getting to know each other beyond the CV.

    We'll talk about:

    • Day-to-day work
    • Team collaboration
    • Ways of working
    • Real situations you may encounter
    • Anything you'd like to know about life at Fantomas

This conversation is just as much for you as it is for us. We want you to leave knowing exactly who you'll be working with and whether Fantomas feels like the right place for you.

  5. 05

    Offer

    If everyone walks away excited

If everyone walks away excited—including you—we'll prepare your offer.

    We'll go through:

    • Compensation
    • Contract details
    • Working model
    • Start date
    • Any remaining questions

Changing jobs is a big decision, and we want you to have everything you need to make it with confidence.

Our promise to you

A great candidate experience isn't a nice-to-have—it's something we're committed to.

Throughout the process, you can expect:

  • Clear communication
  • Respect for your time
  • Honest conversations
  • Timely updates and feedback
  • Interviews that start on time
  • No unnecessary interview rounds
  • A hiring process that feels like a conversation, not an interrogation

Whether or not we end up working together, we want every candidate to have a positive experience with Fantomas.

Before we meet

A few things we'd love you to know:

  • Be yourself—we're interested in the real you.
  • You don't need to memorise your CV.
  • It's okay not to know every answer.
  • Curiosity is always appreciated.
  • Interviews are conversations, not exams.

We value honesty, ownership, and a willingness to learn more than perfectly rehearsed answers.

We're not looking for perfect people. We're looking for great people to build great things with.
